Me: Why did you choose to leave you faction ?
Beatrice: I knew Abnegation wasn’t for me and i couldn’t continue to lie to myself and my family.
Me: Do you ever feel like giving up?
Beatrice: I think about giving up every day but then I think about the people that will be affected by me giving up …so I stay strong.
Me: Is it hard for you to trust people due to past mishaps ?
Beatrice: Sometimes i wonder if i trust people to easy and that i need some boundaries . Due to my past i have a thick shield built up and i rarely let people in. So i don’t know how to answer that question.
Me: Do you think if you didn’t leave your faction that all of the chaos wouldn’t of happened?
Beatrice: That thought keeps me up at night sometimes but I am sure the same things would have happened except i wouldn’t be here..I’d be dead.
Me: Okay Beatrice this is my last question for you today. What would you say to the people you’ve lost ?
Beatrice: I would say. Thank you for not giving up on me ..and I love you.
Beatrice Prior is the main character in this book in the beginning of the story Beatrice is an average teenage girl that followed the code of conduct and performed actions expected by her. She wasn’t worth a second glance until the day had come when she reached the age to make her own decisions but this risk could change the way her family judges her. After the risky choices she decides to go by her life turns into extremely difficult training routines and near death experiences daily .Beatrice is then forced to learn how to survive with limited resources due to the life threatening future she chose . She is soon accompanied by a few more characters involved in the journey but that journey takes some small breaks as tragedy strikes over and over until Beatrice and her remaining friends take it upon themselves to stop all of the chaos and that’s when friendships are tested and strength . Breaking down isn’t an option even the slightest sighting of defeat the enemy will attack and show no mercy. Along the way she becomes close friends with a male character named Four he plays as her guide and partner in crime .Towards the end of ‘Divergent’ Beatrice has a mindset of a survivor and the strength of a warrior.

Human beings as a whole cannot be good for long until the bad creeps in.
—This quote to me says that everyone has a good and bad side in there heart and we control whether we let our emotions take over and let the bad side of our hearts show revealing the cruel animals that lie within us. Also this quote gives the lesson that we being part of the human race have a lot to be responsible for and one of those things is to not loose complete control and separate being emotionally unstable and over whelming anger and learn to work through them and not act upon our emotions.
